Nowadays the borders of the global and the local cut across into each other. In these liminal spaces projects like Miracle Worker arise. Iconic musicians from different ethnic backgrounds with definitive vocal and musical styles and separate listening audiences, come together to perform, preserving their singularity and styles. Very much like troupes of school children today traveling home through City Gate in Port of Spain or at Gare de l’Est in Paris. Once upon a time, all the children in some schools were the same colour, but toady they are all different.
