My daughter is naturally curious. I have allowed that curiosity to flourish. I have always encouraged her to march to her own drum- to live her life. Her life must never be in fulfillment of the dreams I had once for myself. Rather she must be brave to walk through the forest of life along paths that may not always have butterflies along abandoned ways and rainbows at every dead end.

I delight in seeing her finding her way

I delight in seeing her finding her way in large cities- not knowing the language of its citizens, roadways and transport systems and getting lost and finding her way. It takes courage to find your way in a foreign land when the terror of being lost sets in. Such moments compel her to call upon herself. Along the way she has learned that we are all equal but what separates us is – free will.
